Event Planning

Event Planning

Why events?

Growing up in a tight-knit, community-oriented corner of Long Island, I was surrounded by celebrations, bar mitzvahs, weddings, and neighborhood dinners, which left a deep impression on me. These weren’t just events; they were shared moments that made people feel seen and connected. After studying abroad in Copenhagen, where I focused on small business operations and entrepreneurial strategy, I returned to New York wanting to immerse myself in a hands-on experience that combined creativity, structure, and meaning. Event planning felt like a natural place to explore that intersection.

Designing the Invisible

I found myself drawn to the physicality of space. At a glance, I saw a piece made with tape. I added to it and started mapping out environments, blocking off imaginary rooms, creating tension between boundaries and flow. It was messy, temporary, and strangely grounding. Those early experiments helped me understand how people move, gather, and engage. I started seeing events not just as experiences but as designed environments. That mindset stuck with me and helped shape the way I approached every project after.

From Concept to Celebration

Working in the event space gave me the chance to explore everything from high-end bridal fashion week activations to intimate private events. I supported logistics, marketing campaigns, and client engagement across multiple touchpoints, while also getting involved in the creative direction and overall operations of projects. From collaborating with Michelin-star restaurants to working with florists and caterers, I was able to see how each detail fit into a larger narrative. Whether it was developing concepts, coordinating vendors, or managing behind-the-scenes operations, I learned how to bring a vision to life while making sure every guest felt something memorable.

I also sparked the project, Pain Point, while working at my previous part-time job.
